About Cycling for Pleasure

Established in 1976, the Cycling for Pleasure Group (CPG) conducts an informal ride on alternate Sundays. The emphasis is on leisurely cycling with frequent stops. Anyone is welcome to join in.

We endeavour to programme our rides so that all riders, whatever their ability can find a ride to suit them. Distances range from 20km city rides to 40 or 60km country trips. Prospective new riders should check with the leader first to ensure that a particular ride is within their capabilities. People under 14yrs must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

Once or twice a year there is a trip of a week or so to other places, with
a ride each day of a similar distance to the local Adelaide rides. Usually a rest day is included in the program. Accommodation is in cabins or hostels.

Membership

An annual subscription fee of $20 for an individual applies. Car pooling is encouraged for the country trips. Additional costs are incurred for accommodation and food for the extended trips.

You can print it, fill it out and post it with your subs to the secretary/treasurer, or take it along to the next ride.

B.I.S.A

C.P.G. recommends membership of B.I.S.A. for General Advocacy. This includes a subscription to Australian Cyclist Magazine and Pedal update.
