More are planned and we are keen to support those in other sectors in forming new SIGs where there is sufficient interest
7th September is National Threatened Species Day
and marks the day the last Tasmanian Tiger died in the Hobart Zoo in 1936.
The day is used to highlight the plight of Australia's threatened species
and to recognise the efforts of community who are involved in local
recovery actions.
